At one point during the cruise, we'll cross the International Date Line and literally skip a day on the calendar. When a ship crosses the International Date Line, Princess Cruises holds a pool deck show featuring King Neptune and his court to celebrate the Order of the Golden Dragon. First-time crossers, called Pollywogs, undergo playful trials and get slimed with food before jumping into the pool to become Shellbacks. Even though I am already a Shellback, this will be my first time making this journey by sea.
